Cookie Policy
Apollo Companion by Apollo Phoenix Ventures LLC
Effective Date: June 16, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Apollo Phoenix Ventures LLC ("Company," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use Apollo Companion (the "Platform").
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. We also use similar technologies including local storage, session storage, and browser caching. These technologies help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how the Platform is used.
2. Types of Technologies We Use
| Type | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Essential for the Platform to function. Cannot be disabled. | Authentication session tokens (Discord OAuth), security tokens, beta access state | Session / Up to 30 days |
| Functional / Preference | Remember your settings and preferences. | Theme preference (dark/light mode), garage selection, UI layout preferences, conversation history | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Understand usage patterns to improve the Platform. | Page views, feature usage, session duration, error logging | Up to 24 months |
| Third-Party | Set by our service providers to enable their functionality. | Supabase session management, Discord OAuth state | Varies by provider |
3. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Apollo Companion stores data in your browser's local storage. This includes:
- Your theme preference (dark or light mode)
- Vehicle garage data cached locally for performance
- Conversation history and AI memory stored on-device
- Build notes, parts data, and other garage content you create
- UI state such as active view, layout preferences, and notification settings
Local storage data does not expire automatically. You can clear it by clearing your browser's site data or through the Platform's account settings where applicable.
4. Third-Party Cookies and Trackers
Our service providers may set their own cookies or trackers:
- Supabase: Sets session cookies for database authentication and real-time connections.
- Discord: Sets OAuth state parameters during the authentication flow. Discord's own cookie policy governs data set on Discord's domains.
We do not currently use advertising networks, social media trackers, or third-party analytics platforms that set tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
5. Managing Your Preferences
5.1 Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies via your browser's privacy or settings menu. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.
5.2 Clearing Local Storage: You can clear local storage data through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data in your browser settings.
5.3 Do Not Track: Some browsers support "Do Not Track" signals. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the updated effective date above.
